Very thought provoking articles and short stories, letters and poems about the Vietnam war. I read this when studying the Vietman war in high school, and it really helped me to better understand the social climate at the time, and the perspective of the young men who went to fight.

Most of the book is about a soldier's time served in Vietnam(a war that the U.S. 'lost') As the back of the book says: I knew Mama loved me, but I also knew when I got back, she would expect me to be the same person, but it could never happen. She hadn't been to Nam. Also letters, poems, speeches of Lyndon B. Johnson and Robert F. Kennedy and other thoughts on the Vietnam War. Found it very interesting and thought provoking.
