Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween.

Our young trick-or-treaters are facing a trick tonight. Along the MN/WI border near the Twin Cities, it will be the coldest Halloween in 30 years! We had a thin layer of snow last night that is holding on despite a clear sky and bright sunshine.

Our local park sets up covered drive-through trick-or-treat stations that local businesses constructed. It's something. We aren't sure who will visit us tonight. I have an apple basket filled with candy with an illuminary candle (battery) in the center.

We'll leave the porch lights on for anyone who stops by. The kids are so polite here. Even though they can pick up their treat and leave, they ring the bell to thank us in person. 

This morning we had snow showers in Chicago but nothing on the ground.  It is cold, windy and brually cold today.   Yes it will be cold in the Midwest for the kids when they go out to trick or treat.  

Gonna be in the '20's overnite here in TN. Brrrrr
