The photos are outstanding and the text is just the right length for younger readers. This is a wonderful way to learn about birds not native to our area. I thought it was a great idea to suggest the reader call the local zoo to see if one was available at their site.
I'm glad the author explained that these birds were wild and not available for someone's birdcage. I was amazed that a bird could weigh 22 lbs. I would have loved to have seen the talons on the Harpy Eagle. They are so unique.
