Fantastic anthology....I very much enjoyed every story in this collection which is rare to say about an anthology. Usually you like some but not all. There is even one that is furturistic which was quite interesting and gave me thoughts of starting to include Sci-Fi in my genre of reading. These tales are all different manifestations that the authors came up with concerning the infamous Van Helsing and I think you will agree, if you read it, that it was quite entertaining and thought provoking!
Like most anthologies, some of the stories are good, some are "meh." "Hero Dust" by Kristine Kathryn Rusch is interesting and better than most, as is Tanith Lee's "Remember Me." Brian Hodge links Van Helsing and the famed Spanish artist Goya, and kept my interest all the way through "Brushed in Blackest Silence." The nice thing about an anthology is that you can skip from an uninteresting story to the next, which may be just great.
