A kids' book. The whole funeral-parlor-mystery thing intrigued me. This is actually the fourth in a series about young boy Bernie Magruder, whose family is currently managing a hotel in a small town. When a theft occurs, Bernie and his friends are convinced that they can solve the crime before the local policeman can - and they suspect that the culprit is actually a guest at their hotel. Or,maybe the culprit is one of the workers at the funeral home next door - which has just started offering drive-thru services.
The book is full of fun and rather eccentric tidbits; I'd recommend it to readers around the age of 10.
This same book was also published as "Bernie Magruder and the Drive-Thru Funeral Parlor."
