2 1/2 stars--I didn't want to say I didn't like it but I didn't want to say I liked it either so put it in-between.

The inside flap already tells you that one of the three of the triple threat club will be murdered and it happens early in the first few pages, however, from that point the story just plods along and plods along so that midway through I started skipping and skimming to find the points I needed to know 'who dunit' and then I was finished.

These characters just didn't seem to faze me one way or the other and usually if the characters can't get into your head or heart then it's just a ho hum book.

Sorry Lis but you shoud've made it more suspenseful instead of so ploddingly hum drum.

This is basically James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series with a Christian subtext. If you like his books and you like your characters praying and quoting scripture or otherwise, you will likely find this one enjoyable. It is my opinion, however, that James Patterson's characters and his WMC series are superior.

This was the second book in the Triple Threat Club series (but it is actually the 4th installment) that I have read and, though I tried again to give it a chance, I was left unsatisfied and slightly annoyed. It can be read as a stand alone as there is not enough depth to the characters to require that the reader have read the other novels. Without giving any spoilers, I will say that the way this author manipulates the various characters does not bode well for much followup or any point to continuing the series. I developed absolutely no connection or attachment to them nor particularly cared about what happened to them. The story plodded along with lots of foreshadowing and predictability. It wasn't very suspenseful or thrilling. I won't read another.

Cassidy, Nicole and Allison have been best friends for the past six years. They call themselves the Triple Threats, a name they got by sharing a triple chocolatey dessert. Cassidy is a reporter, Nicole an FBI agent and Allison a Federal Prosecutor. When Cassidy doesn't show up for one of their planned dinners, Allison and Nicole know something is off. Cassidy doesn't go anywhere without her phone and she isn't picking up.

When they go to her condo and investigate, they find Cassidy stuffed under the kitchen sink, dead. Although they aren't on the case, Nicole and Allison won't rest until justice is done. With the arrival of a new PI, Olivia, to help them with the case, things take a totally different turn. The killer seems to be after more than just Cassidy and may not stop until he has wiped out each threat of the Triple Threat, but will the women find him before it's too late?

Eyes of Justice is the first book I have read by Lis Wiehl. It reminded me alot of Patterson's Women's Murder Club, which I adore. The writing is crisp and clever and kept me up late turning the pages. I really liked how they had a strong faith and the bonds of friendship ran deep. Great characters, a riveting and thrilling murderer to outfox and smart writing, you won't want to miss Eyes of Justice!
