Really interesting. I didn't know Ballard was such a good writer (OK, I basically only read the captions, but they are a major part of the book. Amazing how most of what we know about geology and the history of the earth was learned in that 1950 to 1980 time (or the last 35 years' knowledge haven't permeated into my urweltanshauing yet.)
