Has a quiz at the end of each chapter. Answers in the back of the book. Good home schooling book.

We enjoyed this book a great deal. It is written on a time line and has the major medical advances as well as a picture of the scientist/discoverer. Each chapter is followed with comprehension question.
A Sonlight book.

Used with Sonlight Science 5. My kids really enjoyed this book. Didn't find it emphasized religion.

I gave this book a 3 rating because Tiner does not include a history of eastern medicine. The Chinese, Indians, and other Asians used many medical techniques. Yes, the author begins with Egypt, but western physicians are just now admitting that eastern techniques are legitimate medical treatments. I will still use this book for home school, but broaden its scope. Perhaps New Leaf Press would back a new edition with added chapters.
