Fascinating read. Book offers lots and lots of interesting information about the 7 very brave explorers who journeyed the uncharted East and Central land of Africa and the great lakes of Tanganyika and Victoria. Then navigated the upper Nile and the Congo. Suffering flesh-eating ulcers, malaria, deep spear wounds. Not everyone would return. Some of the explores would resort to double-crossing for the fame and credit of their discoveries. I enjoyed the information I found offered by Mr. Tim Jeal. There is so much to digest. This book could be read several times over and find something new each time.
I'd recommend this book to those who are interested in the history on this subject.
