Daniel Hinkley is a really, really good writer. The literary and botanical world is blessed by his choice to write about the thing he loves best - botanization. This is a book that crosses genres, a work that has merits as a travelogue, a botany journal, and by happy good fortune also a masterpiece of good literature that can be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates good writing.
