excellent follow-up to her first novel "The Innocent." This story will tear at your heart. I do not classify this as a romance novel, although there is love involved. Lots of twists and turns. You do not neccesarily need to read the first novel to understand this novel.

The second of a trilogy about Anne, born in poverty in 15th century England. This one takes her further into adulthood and her love affair with King Edward IV. Each of the books is a fascinating read!
