The broomstick lace as demonstrated is beautiful but limited. While the explanation is good, there is only one stitch shown. There are books with more information on broomstick lace.

The Tunisian crochet could have wide application. It looks like novelty woven wool, and can be versatile, easy and beautiful. It could be tightly or loosely crocheted, so you have control over the weight and drape.

As the crochet hood size used for Tunisian crochet is a couple of sizes larger than for standard crochet, you would need a really big hook to work anything bigger than DK or worsted and I haven't ever seen anything like that. I may have to get busy and carve one from a dowel.

The broomstick lace bridal hats are lovely. Make a beautiful Tunisian crochet vest, scarf or jacket and your needlework friends will be mystified how it was made!
