Hayden and Nick are ex's from 7th grade with a past and a very public break-up. Oh the Drama of 7th grade. They have become enemies/rivals over the past 4 years but enemies that have so many flirtatious moments you can't help but love their bantering. 4 years laters Hayden is still in love with the boy who broke her heart and made a fool out of her.

When Nick declares that he could out snowboard her she can't back down because she wants to be seen as his equal and respected by him. The two of them agree to a competition that sparks the age old war of boy vs girl. Hayden has a deblitating fear of heights and does not trust the boy she loves. The boy she can not forgive or get over even after 4 years.

Will Hayden conqure her fears, will love conqure all. Or will Hayden have the biggest biff of her snowboarding career and life? The story lies on the snow topped mountains of colorado where both Hayden and Nick must face each other and decide is this a battle of the sexes or a battle for one another's heart.

With backdrop of Colorado and girls that can play with the boys this is a book you must read.

I love Echols' books. She is a fantastic writer and knows how to turn what could be a cheesy romantic story into a must read. Her characters are real people that you can relate to. This was a great, simple, fun read. Hayden is funny, sexy, and speaks her mind. Nick is sexy, kind, and knows how to make Hayden squirm. This one is a winner all the way around

Back in seventh grade, Hayden and Nick went on a few dates. Then when a secret was revealed, the relationship ended...badly.

Now it's junior year and Hayden still finds herself staring at Nick and keeping up-to-date with his never-ending list of girlfriends. The two endlessly flirt back and forth, but that ends when Nick challenges Hayden to a snowboarding competition.

Hayden is all for the competition. She loves snowboarding, but there's one problem: the jump. Hayden is afraid of heights, and Nick won't change his mind about the competition.

So the Extreme Games begin...or shall we say the Ex Games.

Jennifer Echols adds a cute and funny addition to Simon Pulse's Romantic Comedies line. She creates a unique heroine who has a few realistic flaws that get the reader to sympathize and relate to Hayden. Echols also creates a very good-looking leading man who also has depth.

This entertaining story is a great read for anyone who enjoys a true chick flick tale.
