I've read about all of slater's books and have given all the different ratings, she is not consistent with her writing or telling a story
I found this one to be very slow and boring, the execution of telling a story with a podcast is just not an appealing format and I skipped most of it, I think the main focus was on Esme personal life but Slater did not write an engrossing story
After 100 pages of nothing happening (other than her sister missing) I found it hard to get through every page as it was just boring descriptions and I don't need to know how a room is decorated or what they eat or what they wear or the color of their hair--that is just boring page filler crap
I skipped to the back and got it summed up in just a couple of pages and that was all I needed to know
So for me it was a terrible poorly written story that could've been better so my rating is the lowest and I don't recommend it unless you get it from the library but don't buy it
