I will never look at grocery store meat the same again. This book exposes some hard truths about our food inspection systems and food and farm related bureaucracies. Joel Salatin pulls no punches on the left or the right. He points out where both sides have made matters worse.
This book will open your eyes. It will challenge you to think. I gave it 5 stars and my copy is staying at my house, with a few loans to family and friends.

This book does have a lot of good information in it and it's easy to just gloss over anything you might not agree with and just take what you want from it. However, Salatin has a very hard time staying on topic. He'll start each chapter on the stated topic, then get side-tracked to something distantly related, then end the chapter back on topic. The farther into the book, the less tolerable this was.
