This is an untouched, unused cookbook. I love garlic, used to cook with it almost every meal--ordered this mouthwatering cookbook to further that passion, but after receiving it things developed to where garlic no longer loves me. :-( There are so many delectable-sounding recipes here, in several different categories. Here are a few to whet your appetite:
Garlic Focaccia
Iceberg Wedges with Tiptop Thousand Island Dressing
Roasted Garlic and White Bean Spread
Crispy Garlic Potato Chips
As-You-Like-It Pestos
As well, the color scheme of the book is lovely; rather retro throughout, rather pale (pistachio, pale raspberry pink, etc.). This provides a wonderful backdrop to the mouthwatering photos of the various dishes. In the back of the book are websites to help one find 'the best' fresh garlic, as well as information on garlic festivals, and more books about garlic. Sara Perry really covers her subject thoroughly!
Finally, but not least, the book is made to where the front and back covers fold out so that the cook/peruser can use them for built-in bookmarks. This is very useful when one finds more than one recipe at a time that one wishes to make right away. And if you like garlic at all, rest assured you will need those bookmarks pretty quick. :>)
