A rollicking good time with enough pints, pubs, and hilarious personalities to keep you turning the pages. -Jennifer O'Connell, author of Bachelorette #1
After a slow beginning, this is excellent! Great story about becoming your own person.
Excellent women's fiction, romance, friendship, family drama and self-discovery. The protagonist is deeply flawed but ultimately likeable.
Enjoyed it a lot.
Meredith is forced back to her family home after creating her picture perfect life elsewhere and must care for her father after he has been in a car accident. She now has to reexamine all she has ever believed.
Having just moved back to my hometown after a 10-year absence, this book hit very close to home. Very real with humor thrown in. I enjoyed it a lot!
A very quick read, which is good since I didn't particularly enjoy reading this book.
I really really enjoyed this book. I like Megan Crane. It was a little slow starting off, but once I got into it I couldn't put it down. It had me laughing the whole time. I could kind of relate to it. It's about a girl who doesn't really get along with her parents or her brother and sister, especially the girl her brother is about to marry. She moves away right after college to try to start new and fresh but finds herself back at home again. While she's at home she fights with her siblings and I could just see myself in her shoes at times. It's a great book! An easy read and funny!
Not as good as her other books that I've read but I enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed this book once I got into it...it is a little slow at the beginning but well worth sticking with. The more I read the harder it was to put the book down!
Meredith McKay has gone to a lot of trouble to creat the picture-perfect life for herself-far away from her troublesome family, thank you. But when her father's car accident forces her back to her New Jersey hometown, she discovers that there's no running away from family issues--there's only delaying the inevitable. Can anyone sort out a lifetime of drama in one hot summer? Soon Meredith is having a blast from the past-the scorched earth kind-complete with contentious family members, a best friend turned enemy turned sister-in-law-to-be, and a hot guy from back in high school. Now, with one revelation after another coming to light, Meredith must reexamine everything she's ever believed. After living for others for so long, could it be that she isn't the picture-perfect good girl she always thought she was?
