Dixie Hemingway is a pet sitter and former law enforcement officer, currently living on Siesta Key -- a key off Sarasota, FL. It's a light, entertaining story that will find resonance with people who have a special spot in their heart for animals. Dixie has a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She has an insatiable curiosity which also keeps getting her in trouble. An enjoyable read.

I liked this one better than the previous (second) book in the series. Special Guest Star Ziggy-the-iguana deserves mention, though I had to get past the opening premise of careful, if not obsessive, Dixie's taking on a job from a complete stranger over the phone.

This is the first book in this series that I've read, and I can't wait to read the others! The heroine, Dixie Hemingway, is real and relatable. The plot was east to follow, but the ending was still a surprise. The author intersperses interesting facts about animals throughout the book. Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone.
This is the third Dixie Hemingway book. I really enjoy this character and the other characters in the book. Dixie loves animals and is a devoted pet sitter.
I liked this book.

I thought it was just OK - rather bland and unexciting, but wrapped up fairly well.
Great book.
