After reading A CONSPIRACY OF PAPER and other books by David Liss, I was surprised to encounter the surplus of profanity and vulgarity in this contemporary story. It just wasn't "my cup of tea."

Intelligent, informative, thought-provoking -- and above all mesmerizing. From an Edgar-award winning author of amazing historical detective novels.
Quirky novel with twists and turns. College bound Lem sells encyclopedias door to door in Florida and winds up witnessing an assasination of two of his would=be clients, who were strange in themselves. The assassin insinuates himself into Lem's life, the sales business has it's own secrets, all entwined. Really interesting treatment! Each character has their own stories and all are interesting. Very different writing. I thought it was off beat and fun, warped and wonderful.
