In my opinion, this book, The Indispensable C&H, and The Authoritative C&H are the best of the series. They are just crammed with comics, unlike some of the others, which seem to have enlarged the strips so as to fill up a book for sale while offering less by way of content.

One of the big treasury-type books. Includes color Sunday strips.

Watterson really doesn't have any contemporaries! Calvin and Hobbes are the best: funny, mischiveous, introspective, joyful, endearing, and more. Read through this book and you'll find youself roaring with laughter and weeping with hilarity. There are touching poignant moments. Often, there are wildly imaginative adventures. You'll go through the book over and over. It really is ESSENTIAL to my library! I'm swapping my older one but I'll always want a copy of this book on my shelf!

This is an awesome book. I remember how mad I was when Watterson announced that he would discontinue the comics. The indespensible and authorative are still better than this one, but all C&H books are amazing. Do yourself a favor, and whenever this book is available, order it. You won't regret it.
