Very enjoyable short novel. Esperanza goes on a search for her "missing" daughter and finds herself. Quick, enjoyable, light read.
Enjoyable, easy to read but not one of my "favorites."
This book was absolutely delightful!
I heard good reviews for this book, but I found it hard to get into. Maybe just my mood at the time.
One of my favorite books!
Good read. Guided by her saints, Esperanza goes on a quixotic trip from her small town in southern Mexico to Tijuana and Los Angeles to find her daughter who is presumed dead but she believes is still alive. Her innocence is challenged in the culture shocks she receives, and in the end finds herself and love.
