Certainly, I learned a great deal about the mineral Magnesium in this book. I also know that most adults do not have it in sufficient quantities through their diet. Therefore, the suggestions offered here are worth the reader's while. I did not know that Epsom Salts originated in Epsom, Surrey, England in the 1600s.

The info seemed authoritative, however, some of the directions seemed unclear or incomplete. Let me give you a couple of examples. The author suggests using Epsom salts for a weed killer. He mentions the salt and a bit of dishwashing liquid but did not mention how much hot water to use to dissolve the salt (and put it into a spray bottle). In the recipe mixed with eucalyptus and vanilla; there's no mention of vanilla in the ingredients. He calls for 1 tablespoon of eucalyptus -- but what is it? Essential oil? (Not likely, that's too much).

I do plan to try the Epsom salt in my plants. It sounds like a safe way to add nutrients for both outdoor and indoor plantings. I've tried the Epsom salts in my bath and they are marvelous for relaxation and increasing the amount of magnesium in my body.
