The interlocking square or diamond pattern created by the entrelac technique of knitting has always fascinated me. I found a simple description of this method in a knitted afghan pattern several years ago and found it to be fairly easy and very satisfying. Since that experience I have planned to try using the technique in other projects but was not quite sure how to go about it. I could always make another afghan but wanted to take it a step further. Then I found this book all about entrelac and just had to give it a try. I have not been disappointed. In this volume you get a chance to become familiar with the basic technique of entralac. The step-by-step instructions are clearly laid out with full color photos that lead you through each and every step of the process. Then there are the variations! I simply love the swatch glossary section where you can try out all sorts of variations of the basic design. The possibilities are endless and simply dare your imagination to take wing. Finally, there are more than 25 wonderful projects with complete and detailed patterns to explore and create. This beautifully illustrated book with full color photographs is a delight to study. I have already picked out several projects to try. Gotta go, my needles are calling me....
