Great book! Beverly Lewis is good reading. I think I've read all her books and none of them disappoint. I love learning how the Amish live and about their culture. But the people are what pull you in, Great stories! I love this series and it's the ones that got me started on all her other books.
The Annie's People series is one of the best Amish series that I have ever read!

As the second in a series it is a must to read and to identify with the sacrificies made by the amish. Very absorbing plot.
I loved Annie's People Series. It was very hard to put down.
The books are hard to read because you want things to happen & it seems like everyone is making the wrong choices. The thing about this series is that it teaches you that sometimes when you have to make hard choices in life God will always look out for you. Some times you have to give up things for God & love, but God is always there to give you something better. If you still have not read them all you have to read them all to the end. You will be happy you did...(
I enjoyed all the personal interactions in the play. Annie and Ben are interesting characters, and the book does a good job of pointing out that the Amish are far from a monolithic group.

Annie's People, my favorite series from Beverly Lewis.
I have read eight to the authors other books and have enjoyed each on. I have not yet read this one but i have 2 copies. My sister in law sent me one than I forgot and ordered one off of Crossings so I am putting one on here so that others may enjoy her books.
Wonderful glimpses into the Amish life! Absorbing plot, strong ,well developed characters!

It's odd, but nearly the minute I had promised my preacher father I would turn my back on my artistic passions for a full six months, right then, all kinds of new temptations popped into my head like never before. I find myself tracing a design with my finger on my dress or squinting and eyeing the shape of the cast iron bell Mamm rings for supper. It's as if the drive to create cannot be squelched, neither from within nor without. But I hope, for the good of my word and for the good of my family, I can suppress it long enough to join the church. By then, surely I will have learned to obey. Without Lou's loving support, though, I can't imagine succeeding.
Nearly as strong as the tug to express myself on paper or canvas is my eagerness to see Ben Martin again. This befuddles me. An Englischer? Just as I am free of Rudy Esh, in every way, I am determined to forget about this boy who can be nothing but trouble to my goal of joining church....

A heartwarming read by a great author!!
This has not been my favorite Beverly Lewis series, but it does get better with this book. there is always such sadness in the series and I wish for a series wrapped in Amish happiness.

This 2nd installment of Annie's People weaves the tales of the main characters throughout the novel. One supresses her desire to paint images, two others look for solice among the people, while another believes a lie. I believe it is an excellent mystery novel. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, however, it left me pining for more. It took me away and then left me there!

A wonderful good sequel to the Peacher's Daughter. I was hoping this would wrap up the mysteries and end the series, but Beverly was able to stretch the tale into three books so this is book 2. Annie's character development is good and the character of Zeke is intriguing. I'm ready for book 3 after this one!

ThiS IS A WONDERFUL BOOK. I am begining to wonder if the Englishman is the boy who they believe was murdered. wonderfully written. Keeps you wondering what is next to come. It would be trouble to live in a world without pictures and being able to express yourself.
Oh it really gets you wanting to read the 3rd one with so many unanswered questions
