I enjoyed reading this author's personal account of aspects of her many trips to England. She tells of the out of the way activities, places, restaurants and gardens she has visited. It has good information about what is available - although it is an older book- she gives general facts (such as museums times of opening) that are probably still in effect.

I wish I had read this book before we went to London last year; there were a lot of good suggestions for what to do in London in this book as well as the usual descriptions of experiences in other parts of the country.
