This is a very good book, but don't be fooled by the cover. The book has almost nothing to do with the excellent movie depicted on the cover, maybe 3 pages that touch on the movie theme. It is, however, a very good book about the history, people, and scope of Stalingrad: the battle. And that battle is so extreme, in every way, that it is hard to imagine.
