I used this book during an American History college class and while it does present many facts in chronological order so it was easy to follow, I was quite disappointed that it didn't include more maps and visual images within the text. There were also no references as in some books about where to find more information about the text. But for someone who simply wants a clear, concise history of the US as a reference, this would make a nice book for your bookshelf.
