I like reading her books set in the national parks
I thoroughly enjoy this series. You learn so much about different national parks.
this time anna is on an island off the Georgia coast. a great story
Anna Pigeon, national park ranger, is posted on routine fire duty watch on an island off the Georgia coast. When a small plane crashes nearby and Anna, assigned to assist the investigator, discovers secrets, more secrets and becomes endangered herself.
I am a big fan of our national parks and big fan of Nevada Barr. Just hate that our protagonist Anna gets the crap beat out of her in every adventure.
This is a great series. Good action, interesting characters and descriptions of National Parks that fit into the story.

I enjoyed this book because I have visited the location. Otherwise, it isn't one of the author's best works.

So disappointing. Too many "cutsy" remarks which didn't add to the story. Too many coincidences. Too drawn out, as if she had to fill a certain number of pages.
I liked the first four, but after I finished this one, I posted the next two I had to my bookshelf without reading them.

Very good story although not her best. Read during cruise and now my wife is reading it. Recommend to all Anna fans.
