This book should be a classic. This is the second copy I bought/ ordered so I can share it with others who want to help people in less fortunate countries. Or, to make others think about why some have and others do not.

The book was written a little more than 10 years ago so I could check on the progress made in the attempt to reduce poverty. It turns out that much has been done and to goals laid out have pretty much been met at the halfway point. The ideas are not earth shattering and the book gets preachy at times but I found the reviews of specific country issues fascinating.
