Normally this type of book would be a 5-star review for me: family story told over multiple generations, set at a seaside location. But this one falls short. The story starts out interestingly enough with Bea, the Scottish nanny, and Janie, the youngest of the Porter sisters. But the story then continues with another Porter sister, Helen, and her son, Charlie. Their story was not as interesting to me. We hardly hear about the characters we were introduced to in the beginning of the novel. 'The End of the Point' was good, not great. Beautiful book cover art.
