Have you ever got those creepy chain letters through your email? Or have you ever heard a story so weird that gave you the willies, but you just couldn't swallow it, eventhough the storyteller swears up and down that the event happend to a friend-of-a-friend, cousin, aunt, etc..... Not sure about those stories? Now you can look them up in Urban Legends Encyclopedia. You would be surprised at some of the stories you heard as kids/adults that are totally untrue. This book tells you all about each individual story, where it originated, how it got started, and how long the story has been around. A informative book, even if you only want a good laugh, or maybe spook someone yourself!!!!!

This is a good reference to urban legends by listing. Just about every one is covered here. The down side is that none are covered in the depth they could have been. It's a good reference guide, though.
