After "Halfway to Heaven" where we meet Helena and Michael for the first time, I was looking forward to this book. I was disappointed and enjoyed "Halfway to Heaven" so much better. I did not get drawn in to the Michael/Helena relationship. In fact, I didn't think they should get together at all. Plus, the relationship between Michael and Helena's husband was too coincidental. That being said, I did like watching Helena's transformation and what she created to help those around her.

An interesting stufy in growing indepedent as a woman...the hard way. Wiggs becomes more and more accomplished as an author with each book. I wasn't as impressed with this plot as books I have already read bI enjoyed it anyway. I like the way her characters are introduced in each book, to be expanded upon in another book to follow. I look forward to reading the next in the series but each book can and does stand on its own. It just helps to know the "history" of each character.

The writer kept your interest throughout the book until the very end. A great read and hard to put down.
