This book is filled with facts and information about the threats to wildlife in our oceans. Ellis writes in a beautiful prose that is sometimes poetic, and always haunting. We are facing a serious crisis in our time because of over fishing, pollution, and climate change. This book explains, species by species, how humans are destroying ocean ecosystems. The final chapter explores a possible solutions, which I hope policymakers and fisheries managers will take note of. I especially liked the illustrations, which Ellis did himself.
