This book was written in 1979 and is showing its age. Some of the data is out of date, and some is just wrong. The author does best when he sticks to a subject he knows; namely, health. Some interesting ideas are included on this topic. For example, the hypothesis that flouridation of the water supply has damaged our thyroids (since flourine is chemically similar to iodine) resulting in the current obesity epidemic. All and all, a worthwhile read, but keep your skepticism level high due to the age of the book. It's always enlightening to read predictive books like this 30 years after publication.
