Interesting as a glimpse into MacArthur and the early post-war Japan period. Well written, author's own diplomatic experience gives this tale authority.

This is an excellent history of reconstruction of Japan immediately post WW2. It does not present General MacArthur in a very favorable light.

Interesting, well-written tale of politics and intrigue in Japan and the Phillippines during WWII. Perspective is from a close aide to General MacArthur.
