I still can't believe what these kids did.

This was a very disturbing book about teenagers who want to be different, so they pretend to be vampires and play vampire games. When their personalities aren't strongly formed they can lose the difference between what is pretend and what is reality. That is when it became dangerous and two innocent people lost their lives because of it.
This is a story that needed to be told. It can help parents know what danger signs to watch for in their teenagers and it can help teenagers know what can happen when they carry things too far.

For the most part an interesting read. Drags a little in the middle. The last 10 chapters or so the author tries (too hard) to convince the reader that one of the suspects was an innocent victim. I like drawing my own conclusions.
Stark and shocking.
i think it's scarey how one young man could influence those kids around him to do the things he told them to do.
A fairly accurate and captivating portrayl of the Vampire Clan Murders in Florida. Aphrodite Jones keeps you hooked from beginning to end.

very strange book but i loved it.
This book is quite disturbing but it is very well written. The case, although tragic, is interesting. I found myself feeling sorry for each of the people involved at some point in the book. Aprodite Jones puts together a very cohesive narrative about these tragic teens and the events that led up to the ending tragedy.
Aphrodite Jones is an amazing writer. she fully investigates her subject and relays the sories to the reader with an engaging and transparent quality. For anyone who wants to know the exact inner workings of the cultic vampire phenomenon among teens, this is a must read book.
This is based on a true story. A very interesting read.

true crime murder of a couple whose teenage girl was involved with a charismatic teen who believed he was a vampire.
This book definitely held my interest since I couldn't believe how many people looked up to/ believed the murderer.
Shades of Charles Manson!
