Ivy is a surprising find when you've read all the other top para/rom writers. Plots are similar to Feehan/Kenyon but I found myself enjoying her banter between characters and genuine touches of (I'm not taking my writing too seriously). I do have to say as a graphic designer I found her covers to be a huge turn off and borderline ridiculous. Don't read these books in public unless you enjoy open snicker.

I could hardly put this one down. Read it in two days. Viper and Shay make a wonderful and fun couple.

I enjoyed this book almost as much as the first one. Another single day read for me. It's not as fast paced as the first and there was again some uneven pacing near the middle. Her setting descriptions continue to be just the right amount to keep you in the story.
The characters were well drawn. I loved Viper. He was the proverbial bachelor that fall hard. Shay was an interesting heroine, half demon and half human, however some of her dialogue was a cookie cutter of Abby's from the first book. While "Holy Guacamole" and "Yowser" were corny but plausible when human Abby said (or thought) them they just didn't work coming from century old Shay.
That dialogue was my major complaint for this second book in Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series. I'm still interested in reading the rest of the series.

I am REALLY liking this series of books! Alexandra Ivy develops her characters very well, and weaves a wonderful world for them all to interact in. While sticking with the "one true mate" concept, she manages to make each one unique. Granted, I'm only through #2, but I see bright things for the rest of the series.
This was purchased as a gift. I did not get the chance to read it.
