Noted Civil War historian James McPherson gives us another perspective on Jefferson Davis. This is a slightly more "kindly" view of the president of the Confederacy and the problems he faced, including even the ones he caused.
With its larger than usual print and only 252 pages, it is an easy and quick read. I recommend it to my fellow Civil War buffs.
