Move this book to the top of your TO Be Read pile (TBR), This book is fun, fast paced, never dull, full of great characters, and every few chapters Elvis the dog gives his opinion. It is full of some great laughs, and you will wish it didnt end. But there is always book 2.

Cute story from the perspective of Elvis (the dog) a bassett hound who thinks he's the reincarnation of Elvis, and his owner Callie (who runs a beauty shop). This is a fast read with a lot of southern conatations.

Very cute cozy. Elvis is basset hound reincarnated from Elvis Presley. So he gets his own pages to comment on his life every few chapters. The main characters will remind you of Lucy and Ethel. Quick moving, likeable characters. Looking forward to reading the second one in the series.

I really tried to like this book. The premise was good: a body missing from a family owned funeral home, quirky characters and thoughts from a dog named Elvis. It just seemed to be a struggle to keep up with who was doing what and where the story was going. 2.5 stars

Reading this book for me, is like running and running, becoming out of breath, and not sure why I am running or where I am going. Just so fast, details are omitted, and points are understated. I like the main characters, but it just is not a hit with me.

Owning a Basset and Cocker Spaniel myself I loved reading this book. It was a funny read.

A new series for me and I love it! Southern setting in Tupelo, MS is right up my alley and throw in some Elvis! Even if Elvis is the bassett hound who thinks he is Elvis....the book made me giggle and not many books make me laugh; I can't wait to get my hands on the next of the series....

This is the funniest murder mystery book I have ever read. Never thought the two could be combined but Peggy Webb has done it. Highly recommend this book especially if you are looking for something different.
