I liked all of the Breed books, but this one was special to me because it takes place outside the Breed community. I liked finding out early on (in the series) that there were a few that got away and lived "normal" lives. I am a sucker for the ones that got away!
Also, I really liked Cassie's character and have been very happy to see it develop in some of the later books.

I enjoyed this installment in the series very much. While it's a little inconsistent in plot occasionally, the emotions were well done and I enjoyed it. And, of course, it's HOT.

Lora Leigh always writes a good book. I have not read the breed stories in order so it was nice to go back and find out the origins of Cassie. I thought the story was good from the very start. A little predictable if you know her breed stories. Even though Dash was dominant, it wasnt as overwhelming as some of the other characters she writes.

The book had a great story line. I loved the idea of Dash coming to the rescue of Elizabeth and Cassie. Once Dash started training Elizabeth, I assumed the book would
have a great action packed ending. I guess I was wrong. I must admit I was disappointed when I finished reading this book.

I liked this book. The premise of Dash as a war hero was heart-felt for me. The fact that he was driven to live by Cassie and her daughter was sweet and charming. The way that Dash treated Cassie with kid gloves, patience and soft love was delightful. Cassie's realistic response to Dash's sudden interest in her life was believable and the progression of their relationship was very well done.
All that said... My one beef was the obvious ploy by the author that got the kid out of the way so that the adults could have Lots of sex. I'm not against the sex. It was wonderful, shockingly graphic (which I sort-of like), and realistic (as in it didn't go off on ridiculous renditions of karma sutra positions and yet didn't limit itself to missionary). It was the that the author pulled a key character (the daughter) out of the book in an unbelievable way. The book lost something when she did that and I just wish that she'd taken the harder route of actually having to juggle the sex life around a sensitive child.
Still, I understand why the author took that route in this type of book, so I forgave her and overall enjoyed the book enough that I can't wait to read more of the Breeds. =)

Loved this one, I always wanted to know since reading since reading this series, about how Cassie came to be a focal point in this series. Cassie saved not just her mother countless time but also a solider that was giving up on life after being in an explosion and loosing his whole unit. Her letters gave him life and also a mate he has claimed from the letters and a daughter in need of a daddy to save her and her mother. Dash gotten better and left the service (a breed no one knew was still alive and hidden among the regular humans) when in search of his new family after Cassie's last letter telling him they were running from the bad guys. Elizabeth has been running for two years hiding her daughter from Grange, the bad guy, that wants Cassie in many and nasty ways, she is a breed child that was conceived naturally, unknown by Elizabeth but a Genetic Doctor that had a hand in the breeds creation. So basically Cassie is a bitch for the Counsel to use for more breeds but Dash and Elizabeth didnt know until later that poor Cassie is not just a wolf but also a coyote mix child. Now her mother and her new daddy have to find a way to hid her from the public, but also find her files and get rid of the bad guys that want Cassie for their greed. Dash never wanted friends, because they would turn on him or they would get killed but in this book we find out that Dash has many friends that he or Elizabeth were shocked to find out that they would do anything for Dash since he was great at what he does, and they help him and Elizabeth to get their mission done so Cassie can be with her mommy and daddy and her new baby sibling.

What a predictable piece of crap. This has the feel of a self-published internet type book. Ridiculous. Trite language and construction, pitiable storyline...I ended up skipping to the end to preserve my sanity.
