This gives a good background on Louis L'Amour.

This is a really good book. It is unbelieveable that this man traveled and read so many books. He went all over the world, on tramp steamers to China, rode the rails here in the states, all the while reading, reading, anything and everything. An unusual education and must be one of the most well read men of his time. I really enjoyed the book also because I'm a big reader myself.

Like a classic L'Amour fiction,Educationof a Wandering Man mixes authentic frontier drama with actual true-life characters.

A real insight into a great storyteller, and how he got that way. A true self made writer who studied and worked his way around the world in a quest for knowledge.

I love this memoir by Louis L'Amour. What a life he enjoyed! Young men now could only dream of having this kind of education.

An interesting account of the author's life. But, more than that, a treasure trove of books that are first-person accounts and classics, that have enriched his life, and he believes (as do I) that they will enrich your life, too.
