A remarkable study of a genius. Neil Baldwin presents America in a man - as straange, obsessed, tangled and brilliant as the age he literally illuminated. Baldwin has taken Edison out of the waxworks and restored him to humanity. A truly fine biography of Edison.

A Good read. After reading this book I started using notebooks and later a palm pc to enter in notes and thoughts that I was thinking.

Best quote I ever heard is in this book. While researching the book the author came across a masthead from an 1890's telegraph company, it said, " is it not a feat sublime, intellect hath conquered time."
