When I was in elementary school, my drawing skills were awful. It seemed like everyone else had nicer drawings than I did. Somehow I got a hold of this book, and my drawings improved. Using lines, squiggles, letter shapes, and dots, this book gives you the basics on how to draw just about any animal you might want to draw, one step at a time.

The drawings look just like the cover, so it's not a book that will teach you how to create gallery worthy art, but it's a great starting point, and the simple, clear instructions make it good for younger kids (my 5 year old really likes it).
