Read this book, it will change your life.
Yes, it is heartbreaking to learn the truth, the journey of
the meat you put on your plate.
This should be required reading for every American.
Decide for yourself, but be informed, know what is in the meat on your plate.

This was an excellent book. Mr. Safran-Foer has a background in philosophy, and I definitely saw the philosophy side shine through.

Lots of great information, yes, some repeated from other sources; some of the quotes from factory-farm workers were definitely recirculated from other books (I recognized quite a few from "Skinny Bitch").

I borrowed it from the library, but now I'm trying to get my hands on a copy because I want to be able to reread it and reference it-- unfortunately I've since forgotten many of the useful facts I learned.

If you eat, you must read this book.

This is going on my list of favorite books of all time.
I have been a vegetarian (and border on vegan)for many years and I've always had my own personal reasons for that. This book will lay it all out for you. He doesn't promote going that route at all in this book, he just lays out all the facts and lets you decide for yourself.

I think this is one of the most important and informative books you could ever read in your life and especially if you have children. It amazes me what we put in our own mouths much less what we allow our children and grandchildren to eat. We are all guinea pigs folks!! The sooner we realize and accept that, the sooner we can get back to healthy eating. The rise of so many ailments and diseases we are seeing in our younger generations ARE due to the way our food is processed and if you really want to know the truth about it then READ this book!

YES, some parts are hard to read, will hurt your heart and maybe make you use some Puffs Plus, but come on people, if we don't know about it, inform ourselves of how these big corporations (not the farmers we were raised with, they are rare and few and far between) are feeding us poison all for big bucks, well then we deserve what we get.
