I'd hoped the book would explain the difference between yams and sweet potatoes. However, I had to look further. They were all called sweet potatoes until a Louisiana company coined "yams" for their new variety of sweet potatoes. In other words, they are the same.
There are the usual sweet potatoes with brown sugar and pecans. But there are some unique ones, like YAM ICE-CREAM, JAMAICAN FAVORITE PUDDING, and YAM AND LAMB DINNER. There are no photos (except the cover), but nutritional information is included.
