Contrary to the summary, I don't believe this book is a good "beginner guide to Kanji." This book is awesome for those who already have a slight knowledge of Kanji, though! The best feature of this book is that it really focuses on writing Kanji. Please have a different source for learning on'yomi and kun'yomi meanings, but definitley consider this book when learning to write! So many kanji self-teaching books avert all focus to meanings and readings. This little book is a beautiful companion to those!
