Though this book's hype targets the killing of Osama Bin Laden, there is much more to it. The author begins at his beginning (Boot Camp) and carries the reader with him as he progresses and matures in a mentally and physically demanding career that is only survivable by the best of the best.

He also covers the progression of covert warfare from a "Get in/Get the job done/Get out" mindset, to today's politically correct "They have rights, too" methods. This is something I also experienced in my military career; though to a far lesser extent.

Lastly, I found it a little creepy that this real-life experience was paralleling Michael Z. Williamson's SciFi novel, "The Weapon", which I happened to be reading at the same time. Of course, that may just be my twisted mind :o)

"No Easy Day" gives you much insight, and inside scoop narrative to what happened during the raid on Osama Bin Ladens compound. It also gives insight into what a special forces soldiers job is as a warrior who helps protect are freedoms overseas.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!
The author grabs your attention IMMEDIATELY, in the first pages of the book and nevers lets up.
The author and co-author have done an exceptional job of laying out the experiences and events leading to the killing of UBL.
It is obvious that the first hand account, by the author is contrary to the second hand account of the incident as protrayed by our politicians and the press.
I would have given this book SIX stars if that were an opition. I fully intend to read it again in a year or two, it was just that good.
Mark Owen (not really his name) go step-by-step in the recruiting, training and use of Navy Seals on the famous Seal Team 6. He explains, so that anyone reading the book can understand" the mission of Seal Team 6.
The outline of the events leading up to the killing of UBL, is incredible and captured my attention immediately.
Initially, I purchased this book by accident (thinking it was "American Sniper", by Chris Kyle). I'm glad I made that mistake.
Once you start reading the book, it will be difficult to put it down.
If you are interested in military type books, this book should be at the top of your list of books to read.

I just got this book in the mail Friday and started to read it that evening. I just finished it, Sunday evening, and enjoyed it very much. It gives you a good feel for what the training and operations are like without giving away specifics. It also was nice to not have all the hype and ugly details that some of the authors seem to use to much of. If you want to know what happened on this mission then this is the book to read. Great job, both on the missions and in writing this book. Thank you!

I greatly enjoyed this book. It's a firsthand account of the killing of Osama bin laden. As well, it includes first-hand insight into the Navy SEALs in general and seal team six specifically. This is a must-read if you have any interest at all and have read or heard news media reports on what happened. There's a lot of misinformation out there is you will find out by reading this book.

This was an excellent account of how Seal Team 6 worked to get along with the CIA and other groups and agencies to get to Osama Bin Laden (or in the book, "UBL"). These men and women are dedicated to keeping America safe from harm and this is one of those times that it is obvious that they do a great job. Unbelievable the dedication and hours of study and practice that goes into a mission like this. Great book!
