I didn't think I'd completely like Camilla at first, but I grew to understand her and loved their relationship. Archie was a wonderful hero. This was only my second Lorraine Health book, and I'm so eager to read more. She's not in my library so I have to order her books.
Archibald Warner, the seventh Earl of Sachse, may have recently gained his title, but he knows his duty is to marry and produce an heir. The problem is, he is only interested in Camilla, the late Earl's young wife. Camilla is helping him learn his way around the titled gentry and trying to help him find a wife. Archie is determined to break through Camilla's secrets and make her his bride.
This book started out with the hero already in love with the heroine, but he doesn't know how to win her over. I kind of missed seeing the hero fall in love with her. It just felt abrupt. This was a solid historical romance with no surprises. My rating: 4 Stars.

I thought the people she presents in the book are well planned and acted out. I was however not impressed with the fact that she didnt explain somethings better in the end.
There are so many historical writers now and many big disappointments. This was also my first historical by Heath and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I know there were valid complaints about the "barren" issue being overplayed, but a book that's this well written I can overlook it.
I did get fustrated by the heroine's self-martyr attitude especially with the barren issue, but the hero more than made up for this short coming. I absolutely adored the hero!!!!! As one of the other reviewers mentioned, the literacy issue was also so well written in this story. Overall, I really loved this book and look forward to searching for Heath's backlist.

This story is more intricate than the covers would have readers believe. It's the first Heath I've read, and I'll definitely read more from her.
Camilla is determined to find teh perfect match for the irresitible new Earl of Sachse. But what if the only bride the earl desires is the unattainable Camilla?
I got this off the quarter shelf at the library. It was pretty good; Lorraine Heath is a good author.

Not what I expected from this author, the beginning is abrupt but the story is good. It connects with other stories of hers.
Very good love story. Enjoyed every page.
I finished this book in three days if you like historical stories this one was good . i really liked it
