This book gives you real insight to how the Duggars live.I learned alot about them that I never knew before. They talked about their faith in God and how everything they do is based upon him.How they chose to live with paying for everything in cash not owing any one money. How they are raising their children. Why she decided to have so many children because of losing one while she was taking birth control pills. Why she deiced to home school them instead of sending them to school. How every child must take violin lessons. They also talk about building their new home and what they went through. You also get to know Michelle and Jim Bob from the time they met to now.The book gives you family recipes.Michelle also gives you tips on how to raise children like she is doing from chores to sitting on a blanket.
You will see that the Dggars have a used car lot and real estate business which is what they do to earn a living. Why she named her children with each beginning with J so no one would feel left out if it was her last child.

I loved the book. It's an easy read. It gives some frugal suggestions along with how to deal with 18 children. I like their calm, common-sense approach to life.

Well, we love the show on tv, so I bought the book. I think they are a really nice family and have chosen to raise their kids in a loving, closed environment. Those kids could do worse, that's for sure. I don't agree with all of their methods (blanket time, huh?) but they do have a lovely family. Compared to Octo-mom, this family clearly has the advantage!

An interesting in-depth look at the history of the Duggar family and the ideals and mindset that Jim Bob and Michelle have when raising their family. Definitely answers almost any question you might have had about the Duggars!

I am not a religious person & this book has a lot of bible quotes & talking about god in it - a lot like their show. If you can ignore that then it is an interesting book about why they have so many kids, how their family functions day to day and a little behind the scenes of their television show. I do watch their show as well just because they fascinate me how they have that many kids and how they function.

I enjoy the Duggar TV and wanted to learn more about the family so I read the book. It was heartwarming and a good read. It contained lots of family antecdotes, tips on organizing tasks in a large household, and had lots of talk about Bible based themes related to family. The thing I most enjoyed was their frugal recipes. I have tried several with very good results.

I liked the show so decided to buy the book. It was a fun and interesting read. I loved learning more about how Michelle organizes such a large family. Some of the ideas wouldn't work for a regular-sized family but a lot of them could be applied in anyone's home.

Nice read - uplifting to know that people still enjoy having big families!
I really liked reading about this family. I wanted to know how they were able to afford their large family and homeschool them. This book covered those topics.
I love this book. I like how candidly they speak of their lives. It is worth a read if you are a curious person or a person of faith. They give you something to ponder and reasons why they do what they do. They are like all of us with unwise choices at times. This is a great example of growth in life and faith in God.

This book gave my growing family so much hope. My husband has been listening to me talk about the things I've learned from the book and says he plans to read it too. The encouragement found in these words is a gift from God. Thank you Duggars!!!
