Dry Rot And Daffodils Behind the scenes in a National Trust house
Author: Mary MacKie
If you thought living in a stately home was all gleaming banisters, visiting aristocracy, and priceless antiques, read on. Throughout her years living at Felbrigg Hall, a National Trust house in Norfolk, Mary Mackie has seen it all. A wonderfully entertaining sequel to Cobwebs and Cream Teas.

This book is as sweetly charming and amusing as "Cobwebs and Cream Teas", in fact, in so many ways it almost is the same book. Lots of the same material, just retold. However, while the first book does just cover their early years at Felbrigg Hall, this book sees the author and her husband right through to the end of their time at Felbrigg. It is a fascinating read for anyone interested in Stately Homes, but if you could only read one book on the topic, I would recommend the earlier book over this one. Having said that, this book is worth reading, it's a slim volume and a quick read.
